Entering a Hell of your making

Hi everyone,

On the 3rd April I will complete my first challenge. I shall not tell you what it is, you will have to come back for more to find out. Oh, I'm a filthy tease.

Me and the Puffin worked out the top 28 challenges you voted for, what can I say, You. Are. Evil.

I looked up at Puffin with big eyes and pouty lips and begged him not to make me do it, he then pointed out that he wasn't making me do it, this was all my idea. Well, he's got me there. So, I hear you all ask, why have I decided to allow my apparently not-so loving friends and family to set me tasks, challenges and dares to complete for 28 days?

Apart from the fact I have self confidence in abundance and believe that I can do anything, there are other reasons, aside from a lapse in common sense.

There are many things I wish to do with my life, become a journalist, go travelling, own a pair or ten of Louboutins, find the perfect shade of blonde and so on. I intend to do all those things, oh and create world peace, or something.

Everyone has aims, ambitions, dreams, goals. They may be small goals such as run 3 miles without hyperventilating and puking on your special running trainers (specially purchased on New Years Day no doubt). It could be that you wish to quit smoking or maybe you want to travel Australia or move to Africa and build wells and walls and schools.

We all make excuses to NOT do something such as, jobs, kids, study, time, lack of money. I am terrified of being on my death-bed and thinking I wish I had done that. I am aware I am starting to sound like a self-help book now.

The 28 challenges I am completing are not HUGE feats of courage (actually, we will see about that), they will not totally transform my life, but after completing them I will hopefully have learned that life is more fun if you just go out and do what you want and take risks*. What can I say I'm a Gambling woman!

*obviously do not do what you want or take risks if there are legal, health or immoral implications.
